NBA reporter/blogger Alex Kennedy is reporting via twitter that Stephane Lasme will work out for the Phoenix Suns today or tomorrow.

Of course you don't know who he is, but check out the bio here. Lasme is an undersized PF/C with great athleticism who works harder than anyone else on the floor and rebounds and blocks shots with abandon.

Think we're the only ones disappointed in Friday's blowout loss to the Nuggets which featured an incredibly low energy level, on the heels of a preseason where the Suns showed poor board work? The Suns need someone to bring a spark. Lasme wouldn't fill a major void (we're still talking 11th-15th man here), but could provide energy and grab a few boards/blocks/steals in limited minutes.

Does Lasme's skills remind you of anyone?

He just got cut by Boston after a stellar preseason (from 2nd/3rd string perspective), and is currently considering an assignment to their D-League affiliate. Check out CelticsBlog's coverage of his potential D-League assignment  and an ESPN feature story after a couple of breakout games.
